A Wave Of Waves – Newgale

I’d had a late afternoon surf on a perfect blue sky day in January and managed to catch golden hour. The waves were small but perfectly clean with a few of those funky washbacks that you get near high tide at Newgale.

I shot this set sat on the pebbles sloping up the beach and from above at the top of the grass bank. The sun was low and back lighting the waves giving me that ‘summer is just around the corner’ feeling.
