A visit to Cornwall

Pembrokeshire and Cornwall have a lot in common so it’s not surprising that I love to visit Cornwall and spend some time at the beaches down there. It’s similar but different, the rocks and sea minerals are different and so as a result there are different colours to photograph. It’s great to work with another colour palette for a while.

I took every camera I could fit in my bag, including the waterproof housing. I revisited the beach where I took my triptych of mussel pictures last year, Bedruthan Steps, one hundred and twenty steep and crumbly steps down to the sands. It’s difficult to lug the gear down there but really worth it. I also visited the port at Mousehole with its famous cat story (look it up), and took some image in the harbour of boats, ropes and the wall, well worth a visit.

The weather was great and I think that the images speak for themselves.
